The HMDL booth at the Historically Fairfax Fair, celebrating 275 years of county history, was manned by Bob Eldridge, Steve Hull, Jody Bennett, and Bruce Bennett from 10-4 on June 17th, 2017 on the Fairfax Courthouse grounds.
Traffic at the booth was constant well into the afternoon, with visitors taking great interest in our work and the artifacts Tom Evans has found in the area. Dozens of visitors signed up for an upcoming history tour.
The 3d U.S. Infantry, traditionally known as “The Old Guard,” the oldest active-duty infantry unit in the Army, serving our nation since 1784, performed nearby throughout the day to the delight of attendees.
